| Soyuz Spacecraft Docked with Mir
The simple and very reliable Soyuz spacecraft has been the
workhorse of the Russian space program for nearly 30 years.
The black sphere at the left is the crew compartment, and the service module containing
support equipment and engines is at the right. Solar panels provide power for the
spacecraft while in space.
